Raimonda Matulionyte, MD, PhD, is a consultant physician in Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos and a professor in Medical Faculty of Vilnius University. She completed her residency in Infectious Diseases in the Department of Infectious Diseases of Kaunas Medical University before going to pursue a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Lille University II, Tourcoing Regional University Department of Infectious and Travellers’ Diseases (France) and in Clinical Research at Geneva University Hospital (Switzerland). Having more than 20 years of experience in the field of HIV, she has conducted numerous national projects and contributed to international research activities. Her main research interests include the strategies for expansion of HIV testing and accessibility to appropriate care for HIV and HIV comorbidities with viral hepatitis and tuberculosis. She is a steering committee member of EuroSIDA, a member of Lithuanian Infectious Diseases Society board and a co-author of Lithuanian HIV diagnostics and treatment guidelines.
